We have a team of people available to support Adult Carers who are registered with the Centre, including support workers and trained volunteers. We also arrange a variety of activities and courses as well as aromatherapy and reiki sessions.
Our Parent Carer Support Worker team is available to Parent Carers who are responsible for caring for a disabled child, providing emotional support, information and signposting to other services and agencies; including support through the TAC process (Team Around the Child). The support workers are able to visit Parent Carers either in their own homes, offer appointments at the Carers Centre or meet in a neutral place.
Young Carers are children and young people, up to the age of 18, whose lives are affected by looking after someone. This may include physical or learning disabilities, long term illness, mental health problems, or misuse of drugs or alcohol. This may be a parent, brother, sister or other family member. The care they give maybe physical and /or emotional.
