Who are we?
Swindon Carers Centre is a charitable organisation, which is part of the Carers Trust Network, and we were established to provide help and support to the 21,000
carers in Swindon.
We have a team of professionals and trained volunteers who provide a wide range of support and services. Not all of these services may be relevant to your caring role at the moment, but it is reassuring to know that they are there in case your circumstances change.
How do we work?
As a Centre, we work in partnership with other organisations, including local NHS services, Swindon Borough Council’s Adult Social Care and Children’s Services and other local voluntary organisations with the aim of identifying as many carers as possible and to provide the most relevant support for your caring situation. We also work with them to raise the profile of carers so carers themselves can have a collective voice in influencing policy makers and service planners.
Creating a community where carers are recognised, valued and supported.
To improve the wellbeing of people with caring responsibilities in and around Swindon.
We strive to work in the following way with all people involved in our service;
Respect – we will ask your views and ideas and treat you fairly and equally
Enabling – we will support you to think about your choices and solutions
Trust – we will work with you appropriately and reliably
Person Centred – we will respond to your unique and individual circumstances
Empathy – we will be understanding and considerate
Integrity – we will be honest and open
Quality – we will listen to feedback about how to improve our services
