There are thousands of people in the Swindon area who have some kind of caring responsibility for a friend, neighbour or member of their family. When someone finds themselves in this situation, quite often they do not know who to turn to for help, what they are entitled to and what support is out there. This is where Swindon Carers Centre come in, helping carers of all ages with our team of dedicated support workers, benefits advice workers, self-help groups, emergency card scheme and carers breaks.If you have a spare couple of hours, you could help us carry out this valuable service by volunteering for Swindon Carers Centre.
We are grateful to all our volunteers at Swindon Carers Centre. Some of them have been with us for a very long time supporting various areas of our business. If volunteering is something you are interested in, whether it be a few hours a week or month, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We have several different roles available and full training is given to enable you to carry out your role. By volunteering with us you could gain new skills and have fun while supporting others.
We are currently looking for volunteers to:
Support our Adult Groups and Activity Co-ordinators assisting with floristry, craft, choir and coffee groups
Provide admin or telephone skills in the office
