Groups and Activities for Carers Over 18

Cuppas  Cotton   

Wellbeing activities

Arts and Crafts: All materials provided. Make and take home your creation. We offer different themes and ideas each month.

Beauty treatments: Individual treatments and pamper days.

Dance and Pilates: A chance to get fit and have fun moving to music.

Walk and Talk: Meet other carers while enjoying a scenic walk.

Carers Cuppas

Monthly Carers Cuppas to provide mutual support and friendship from other carers. Meet for an informal chat and a hot drink at our Freshbrook, Meadowcroft, SN25, Wroughton, Parks/Walcot and Penhill/Pinehurst Carers Cuppas.

Support Groups

Dementia Peer Support Group: For friendship, mutual support and information. Carers meet in one room and their cared for can attend too, engaging in activities in the next room supported by trained staff.

PATH Group (Planning an Alternative Tomorrow with Hope): A friendship and social group for bereaved carers. We meet for a cuppa, cake and a natter.

Mental Health Support Group: For carers looking after someone with a mental health condition. Meet carers in similar situation, offering support and friendship.

Learning Disability Support Group: For carers supporting someone with a learning disability. Join this group for an informal chat and a cuppa. Meet carers in similar situation, offering support and friendship.

Social Events

Social events for all carers: Join us for an evening meal, a comedy night, a group activity or social get together.

Open Minds Social: An activity group for older carers and the person they care for. Join us for friendship, mutual support, entertainment, and refreshments.

Monthly Quiz: Test your knowledge on a variety of topics.

Our Time Group: A chance for Young Adult Carers aged between 18-25 to enjoy a social activity together.

 

Seasonal Fun

Coach trips: To a variety of destinations (including Bath, Winchester and Weston-super-Mare) to enjoy a day out with fellow carers, spend some time sightseeing, shopping or having a relaxing lunch.

Spring or autumn flower arranging workshop: A chance to relax and learn a new skill during our floristry workshops.

Festive wreath making: Watch a demonstration and then create your own Christmas wreath to take home with you.
