Our impact on the unpaid carer community

Since 1997, we’ve been dedicated to transforming the lives of Swindon’s unpaid carers - providing essential support to adult carers, parents, and even young carers as young as five. These selfless individuals care for family members, partners, and friends, often at the expense of their own well-being. By offering them the help they deserve, we’ve not only made a difference in their lives but also played a crucial role in easing the pressure on local health and social services.

[Swindon Carer Centre's] events give me time to myself; time to switch off for a bit and have some respite from my caring role. Socialising with others takes my mind off it and the worrying that comes with caring. It’s also really nice when someone else makes a cup of tea for you!
