An update from the CEO

I wanted to provide an update further to the communication from our Chair of Trustees Hannah Crawley, on 3rd June, to let you know the succession plan in place once I leave SCC at the end of August.

I’m delighted to say that Bronte Hague (pictured), currently our Head of Resources, will also be taking on the Interim Director responsibilities from September 2024.

Bronte is a highly experienced member of the SCC leadership team with a breadth of expertise and has played a pivotal role in our ongoing development of quality assurance across Swindon Carers Centre.

She is very much looking forward to continuing the strong focus on partnership working and ensuring carer voice remains high:

“I am excited and pleased to take on the role of Interim Charity Director from September. Having been with Swindon Carers Centre for eight years and having held various roles during my time here, I have gained experience across the service, from adult carer support services to ensuring the smooth running and leadership of the organisation. I am honoured for the opportunity to lead such an impactful organisation and bring my experience and passion to this position.

I would like to acknowledge and express my appreciation to Susanna for her exceptional leadership of Swindon Carers Centre during her time as CEO. Susanna has substantially advanced the organisation’s mission during her tenure, and I am committed to maintaining the high standards she has set while continuing the important work Swindon Carers Centre does to support unpaid carers.”

Thank you in advance too as I know you all will make Bronte very welcome in her new role!

With best wishes,
Susanna
