Carers Rights Day is an annual event which raises awareness of the needs and rights of carers and makes carers aware of where they can get the help and support they are entitled too. This year’s Carers Rights Day is taking place on Friday 24th November, with the theme, ‘Make Connections, Get Support’.
Susanna Jones, Swindon Carers Centre CEO, said: “It is vital carers have their expertise and voice recognised and heard to influence the development of services for carers in Swindon. Carers Rights Day is a great way to raise awareness of the work the 21,000 unpaid carers in Swindon do, and to ensure they can directly speak with health and social care leaders in the town.”
