Free information and advice event for unpaid carers
Do you need help and advice to aid you in your caring role?
Join us at our Carers Rights Day drop-in event on Thursday November 21st, where you can find out information available to support your health and wellbeing, financial issues, leisure opportunities and education and training.
Centered around the theme ‘Who Cares for the Carer?’, we will have a marketplace of stallholders from a variety of organisations and charities that work with and offer services for adult, older, parent and young carers. They will talk about the services they offer and answer your questions.
The event is at the Punjabi Community Centre, Kembrey Street, Swindon, SN2 7BB, from 10.30am to 2pm. Free parking is available.
The Swindon Carers Centre team will be there along with representatives from organisations including:
- Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with information about the Carers Passport
- Ipsum, a mental health and wellbeing charity
- Swindon SEND Families Voice
- Alzheimer’s Society
- Citizens Advice
- Enham Trust
- Swindon Food Collective
- Live Well Swindon
- Swindon Borough Council Public Health and Household Support Fund
- SIAS – SEND, Information, Advice and Support Service
- Transition Team, Swindon Borough Council
- Wyvern Health Partnership
- Asset Guardian Company Limited
The event is free to attend and you don’t have to register to come along. However, it would help us if you’re able to do this as we can plan for refreshments to be provided on the day. Please click here to go to our Eventbrite page.
