Join us for Walk A Mile 2022!
We are looking for as many people as possible to join us for our Walk A Mile event on Saturday June 11th.
Carers Week is always an important time for us at Swindon Carers Centre. It’s our opportunity to highlight the need to better recognise and support unpaid carers looking after family members, partners and friends every day, 24-hours a day.
After two years of virtual events due to Covid-19, we’re excited to be able to invite carers and supporters to join us face-to-face at Sanford House, Sanford Street, for Walk A Mile 2022. Please join us to help make caring visible, valued and supported!
This short walk through Swindon town centre starts at 11am from Sanford House. Mobility scooters are available from Swindon Shopmobility, but these need to be booked in advance and will require attendees to arrive earlier ahead of the event to collect these. The walk is a circular route, finishing at Sanford House with refreshments.
Caring is something that affects everyone. Three in five people will be carers at some point in their lives, and if you’re not caring for someone, it’s likely that you know a family member, friend or colleague who is.
