Our approach

Our compassionate team takes the time to listen and understand each carer’s unique situation, offering a safe and welcoming space to decompress, share their experiences, and access opportunities for personal growth and enjoyment.

Our approach involves a clear, supportive process:

    • Carer Conversation: We take the time to understand your needs, priorities, and expectations from our service.
    • Service Offering: Receive a personalised overview of the support available, including signposting to relevant services, benefits advice, respite options and access to external resources.
    • Review (Annual): Adult Carers can request a review of their caring role anytime to ensure your support remains relevant and effective.
    • Join Our Community: Stay connected with us through newsletters, events, and ongoing access to the Swindon Carer’s Centre network, for as long as you remain an unpaid carer or wish to stay involved.

It’s nice that Swindon Carers Centre is doing something for our communities - we tend to stick to our groups and rarely mix in with others. Sometimes I think [unpaid carers] shoot ourselves in the foot by alienating ourselves.
