Swindon Carers Centre has been reaccredited with a prestigious quality mark for the excellent service it provides.
The Trusted Charity Standard is a performance evaluation system and quality mark. This helps our beneficiaries, commissioners, supporters, donors, volunteers, staff and the public to have confidence that we always work to a high standard. The Trusted Charity standard exists to build public trust and confidence in individual charities and in the sector as a whole; and is a way of making sure organisations are well run, accountable and transparent.
Swindon Carers Centre has been assessed against the 11 quality areas of the standard from Level 1 and Level 2; governance, planning, leadership and management, user-centred service, managing people, learning & development, managing money, managing resources, external communications, working with others and assessing outcomes and impact. All areas were considered by the assessor to be impressively evidenced showing continuous improvement.
The award lasts three years and this is the fourth time Swindon Carers Centre has achieved it. Susanna Jones is Chief Executive of Swindon Carers Centre: “I am absolutely delighted our organisation has successfully completed the Trusted Charity reaccreditation. This was a wide-ranging and robust assessment at all levels of the organisation and reflects the high quality and well-governed service we provide for carers in Swindon and I’m very proud of our whole team of staff, volunteers and trustees.”
