This year’s national Volunteers’ Week is taking place on 1st – 7th June; it is an opportunity to celebrate volunteering and to say thank you for the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.

The theme of this year’s Volunteers’ Week is ‘volunteering for all’ and is celebrating the diversity of volunteering and the huge range of people who give their time in so many ways.

Swindon Carers Centre will be celebrating Volunteers’ Week by showcasing a different volunteer role at Swindon Carers Centre on their social media sites each day. Volunteers at the Centre will provide an insight into their role, how they first got involved and what they enjoy most about their volunteering.

There will also be information available on how to get involved with the array of volunteering opportunities at Swindon Carers Centre published throughout the week.

The week will include a celebratory Afternoon Tea for all Swindon Carer Centre’s volunteers, hosted at Sanford House, by Volunteer and Outreach Co-ordinator Julie Collar. This is an opportunity for Swindon Carers Centre to say a big thank you for the invaluable time, skills and expertise their volunteers provide across the organisation and enable high-quality services to be delivered to carers all ages in Swindon.
