What’s On

Carers are often unable to make time for themselves, their hobbies and interests and may lose confidence and feel isolated and lonely. Through our What’s On groups and activities we strive to get you out of the house, to try something new and meet others with caring responsibilities.

Choose your age category below to see what groups and activities we have coming up.

Swindon Carers Centre’s groups and activities are only available to Carers registered with us. For more information, please contact carers@swindoncarers.org.uk.

Update: 5/1/21

Dear Carers and PATH Group members,

We’re sorry to announce the suspension of face-to-face groups and activities for our adult, parent and older carers following the Prime Minister’s announcement of a new national lockdown. Our Groups and Activities Team are reviewing plans to offer online alternatives where possible. These virtual meetings already include –
  • a virtual cuppa and chat (afternoon and eve)
  • Zumba
  • Yoga
  • Dance
  • Quiz (afternoon and eve)
We will continue to send our CHATTERBOX newsletter, which includes information, photos, recipes etc.  If you do not currently receive CHATTERBOX and would like to do so, please let us know!

If you need support, would like to join one of the above online groups, or have suggestions for an online activity, we would love to hear from you, as always.

We may be in lockdown, but we are very much still here for you, working from home. Please get in touch by emailing acgroups@swindoncarers.org.uk or ring one of us direct:
Our main contact number for other queries is 01793 531133 and Swindon Borough Council have a dedicated team to support you during lockdown (e.g. if you are shielding and have difficulty with accessing food or medicine etc) please contact them on 01793 465513.
